Supplies Update
I picked up a 1/4 steel rod to make into a mandril. It was so easy to find. The man in the shop was so helpful! Anyways, I might actually get around to coiling the 14g galvy I have lying around. The only problem is there isn't a slot in the metal to insert the wire. Oh well.
I was going to run to the bead shop, but that was closed so I ended up picking up some basic office supplies instead. But I will run back there tomorrow, since I'll be downtown anyhow.

Rainbow Bracelet Makes Me Happy

Above is the Rainbow bracelet that I just finished yesterday. The colored rings are anodized aluminum from The Ring Lord.com and the smaller ones are bright aluminum links. The clasp is a small barrel one.
It was awesome to make so I'll be making a lot more of a similar style.
If you would like to buy this one or one like it, drop me a note at drakonmaille@yahoo.com.
Chain Maille Introduction
I'm going to be rambling on and on about chainmaille.
"So what exactly is chainmaille?" you might ask.
You know the armor the knights wear in movies like "Dragon Heart" "Beowulf & Grendel" and "Braveheart"? The ones with all the little circular links? Yep, that's chainmaille.
Now, I don't claim to be a pro at it, but I have been doing it for over six years now, and I have yet to sit down and complete a full set of armor. Are you kidding me?!?!?! One 4 in 1 (four other loops in one ring) Bracelet took me six hours for a little rectangle 2 inches by 9.5 inches. I have yet to find a reason, other than Ren Faires that I would need a shirt with 20000 holes in it that weighs almost fourty pounds. Though it would be cool to wear around...
